Welcome to Graphic Distractions.
Was playing around in Paint Shop about 4 months ago and this is
the result of a happy accident I had .. and thankfully I wrote it
down at the time because I wanted to remember how to do it. This
tutorial is a bit filter intensive I’m afraid ..
Paint Shop Pro 7 .. 6 should work for this as well .. as far as I
know it does.
Eye Candy 4000 ... but I think the settings are probably the same
for version 3
FM Tile Tools ... That can be downloaded by clicking on the
button below. It will need to be unzipped and placed in the plug
ins folder for Paint Shop Pro. The path is normally C:\Program
Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 7\Plugins.
FM Tile
Tools
Super Blade Pro
Gold Glitter Preset .. if you do not already have this preset you
may download it by clicking on the button below. This will need
to be unzipped and placed in the Environments and Textures folder
for Paint Shop. The path is normally C:\Program Files\Jasc
Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 7\Plugins\SuperBladePro\environments
and textures
And of course an image of your choice. If you would like to use
the same one that I am using, please right click and save to your
own hard drive. Since masks only see in three types of colors
(white, black, and shades of gray) a color image or a black and
white will work well. The one thing you will want to look for is
that there is a large amount of contrast. Tubes will also work ..
the mask function will see the empty area around a tube as
black.
I hope that you enjoy your stay, and thank you for visiting Graphic Distractions.
